Planning ahead

Answer these two questions aloud:

1. Have you ever had to be responsible for planning a loved one's funeral? (You either know what it is like or you have no idea.)

2. If your life ended suddenly yesterday (if you're reading this now, it didn't...but if it DID) someone would be at the funeral home today planning your funeral. Who would that be?

There are THREE advantages to you pre-planning your own funeral:

Personal.

You get to make your own choices. Cremation vs. burial. Type of casket? There are so many questions funeral directors ask that must be answered and if you have already answered them, you not only get to make your own choices, but also...

Emotional.

You relieve this burden from your children, your spouse, your family, and trust me when I tell you, they will be so grateful that you planned ahead and they will have more time to love and support one another rather than chasing down a lot of information during one of the hardest times of their lives. But one of the smartest reasons for planning ahead is the third advantage, which is...

Financial.

The cost of funerals increases 7 to 10 percent almost every year. Pre-planning gives you an opportunity to freeze the cost today, pay it out over a period of years, and in many cases have all of your costs insured/covered from the day you start paying for it. Imagine how much you will save if you pay now for a funeral you hopefully will not need for another 20 to 50 years! Imagine the peace-of-mind you will have knowing your family won't have to have a benefit or fundraiser to pay for your funeral.

I am happy to explain all of this in detail and can speak with you in your home or on a Zoom video chat.
